What is an Commercial Ice Maker?
If you want to upgrade the beverage service at your bar or restaurant, look no further than commercial ice makers, filters, and ice dispensers at webkitchensupply. We offer a variety of commercial ice machine units to fit the production level, capacity, and ice type you require. From head units built for high-volume production that rest on your ice bin to compact undercounter ice makers, there's an ice machine for every type of operation, whether it's a small concession stand or a busy bar. Our ice machine compressors are air, water, or remote cooled to provide flexibility for maintenance, noise control, and energy efficiency. Each of our ice makers produces one of six different types of ice to best serve your business and customers.
What are the different types of ice makers?
While there are variations within each type, commercial ice machines generally fall into four basic types: modular or ice machine head, undercounter ice machines, countertop ice dispensers/makers, and combination ice/water machines.
What is the difference between a ice machine and a ice maker?
Ice makers produce a moderate volume of ice cubes, and are generally perfect for most families. An ice machine, on the other hand, is a smaller version of a full-scale machine you'd see at a restaurant or in a hotel. They do not attach to a fridge or freezer, rather standing alone and existing only to make ice cubes.
Can you put a commercial ice maker outside?
That's just one reason we don't recommend putting your commercial ice machines outside, unless it's one of the few rated for outdoor use. It's not a controlled environment in terms of temperature or air quality. You're going to make it work way too hard.
